This policy explains what information I collect when you contact me or buy a website from me, how I use it, and the choices you have. I am an independent web designer based in China, working with small businesses in the United Kingdom.
1. What I collect
- Contact details — your name, business name, email address and phone number, when you get in touch.
- Business information — the details you send me so I can build your website: your address, opening hours, menu, services, photos and any text you provide.
- Payment information — payments are processed by PayPal. I do not receive or store your card number. I only see the payment confirmation and the details you enter on PayPal's checkout page.
- Basic technical data — this website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may record standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
2. How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a preview of your website.
- To build, publish and maintain the website you have asked for.
- To confirm payment and issue the delivery documentation.
- To contact you about your website, including renewal reminders for your domain name.
I do not sell your information, and I do not use it for advertising.
3. Who else sees it
- PayPal — to process your payment, under PayPal's own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery for this website and the sites I build.
- Domain registrars — when a domain name is registered or transferred on your behalf, the registrar requires registrant contact details as required by ICANN and the relevant registry.
4. How long I keep it
Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Project and payment records are kept for up to six years, which is the period normally required for tax and accounting purposes.
5. Your rights
You can ask me to show you the information I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. To do so, email h2365711@gmail.com. I will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
6. Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If a payment button supplied by PayPal is present on a page, PayPal may set its own cookies when you interact with it.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top of this page.
